Client: City and County of San Francisco
| The exterior wayfinding program is the arriving visitor's first experience and impression of the San Francisco International Airport and is a critical component of the master plan expansion program. The vehicular system provides information in a simple and easily understood format allowing motorists to make decisions quickly and safely. The system addresses all vehicular components of the master plan and encompasses all airport property as well as CALTRANS right of way. The final program provides clear delineation between primary and secondary destinations; use of consistent nomenclature; and appropriate color coding and cueing systems. Ultimate approvals were provided by all appropriate jurisdictions, including CalTrans, the Arts Commission, and the Airport Commission. |
