Role: Junior Designer
We work on some of the Bay Area’s most iconic spaces, and we’d like you to help us shape them!
Kate Keating Associates is seeking a motivated junior designer to become a part of our energetic team. The successful candidate will participate in developing Environmental Graphic Design projects from concept development through construction documents -- specifically the production of these projects in AutoCad and Revit.
Important attributes include strong analytical and communication skills, accountability, attention to detail, self-motivation and the ability to work as a collaborative team member.
Bachelor's Degree in Design or Architecture preferred, associate certificates also considered. Candidates must be proficient in Revit and AutoCad with experience in Apple-based Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign; FileMakerPro; and Sketchup a plus. Enthusiasm for working in the space between communication design and architecture a must, a sense of humor and readiness to laugh are beneficial characteristics too!
KKA is a collaborative-based environmental graphic design firm in San Francisco with a team of 12 designers. We specialize in developing wayfinding and placemaking programs for public spaces, healthcare facilities, corporate and educational campuses, and parks. Our design approach is based on being responsive to the specific architectural and cultural context of each project, resulting in effective and individualistic design solutions.
KKA cultivates a positive, connected, open-studio atmosphere. We encourage a healthy life-work balance and lighthearted atmosphere to support the long-term well-being of our staff and the firm.
